Sampling Old Seoul in Bukchon
Here’s a video about the Seoul neighborhood of Bukchon (북촌), one of the last parts of Seoul where you can find a sizable number of traditional Korean homes, called hanok (한옥). The area is located between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces. Here’s a link to the original post on Seoul’s “north village.”

It's definitely a special place, with two of my other favorite Seoul neighborhoods - Buam-dong and Samcheong-dong - not far away!

Nice site on all things Korean, Matt. I was there for the first time last year and particularly enjoyed staying in Bukchon.
Also went to Gangwon-do for some outdoor stuff. But I’ll keep following your site for new ideas on what to do there next time.
All the best, Richard
